A recipe by Hannah Millerick
What you’ll need:
- 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled and cubed
- 1 ½ cup water
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 ½ cup natural yoghurt (can be substituted for coconut milk yoghurt)
- 2 tbsp almond butter
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 2 tbsp sliced almonds
- 2 tbsp linseeds
- 1 tbsp honey
What to do:
- In a small pot combine the apples, water, cinnamon and honey. Cook uncovered over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until it comes to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for another 20 minutes until the compote forms.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine yoghurt and almond butter and mix well.
- Layer in mason jars with compote, yoghurt mixture, chia and linseeds. Repeat once.
- Dress with a sprinkle of slivered almonds and honey.
